It’s official, Deadpool has been confirmed and has a release date! Ryan Reynolds, set to reprise his role as Wade Wilson, will hit the big screen in a Deadpool movie in 2016! Chimichangas anyone?

ALL THE POINTS TO GRYFFINDOR! Emma Watson gave an incredible speech on gender equality at the United Nations this weekend. Watson, who was named the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador in July, was giving the speech to kick off the launch of a campaign called HeForShe, advocating for gender equality around the world.

The first video of Episode VII’s version of the Millennium Falcon has leaked, and it contains quite the crossover. No one should be surprised by this, given the viral photos that have been volleying back and forth between a couple of big time directors.

Jeremy Renner joined social media for the sole reason of trolling his fans. That’s the only conclusion we can come to after this post popped up last week.

The Outlander wedding happened this weekend and it basically broke the internet. The gifs alone were hot enough to cause computers the world over to start smoking.

The Maze Runner, the latest in big screen post-apocalyptic YA adaptations, hit theaters this past weekend and blew it’s competition out of the water. It was an excellent book and it made an even better movie, earning it’s spot as the number one film of the weekend.

Last week The Wire released a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad “definitive” ranking of The West Wing Characters. And we couldn’t just stand by without fixing the issue. Take a look at our Top Twenty West Wing Characters and let us know what you think of our ranking.

Ever love a book to pieces only to have Hollywood completely eat it during the adaptation process? It’s tragic every time, and Teija gives you a list of the most egregious offenses in The Worst Book-to-Film Adaptations.

From Smugglers to Slayers, Archeologists to Child Prodigies, last week’s Five by Friday had us rank our most beloved heroes and heroines.

Avenging Force is now on Facebook and we’d appreciate it if you’d take a moment to Like us!
