<\/p>\nWelcome to the third\u00a0installation of The Sorting Hat! This series was created because we enjoy imagining what would happen\u00a0if characters from other fandoms\u00a0were starting their first year at Hogwarts and needed to be sorted into the four\u00a0houses. Sometimes it\u2019s easy to sort someone, and other times (as you\u2019ll see below) it takes compromise and campaigning.<\/p>\n
For this round of The Sorting Hat,\u00a0we’re tackling the characters from Captain America: Civil War. As you can\u00a0see by the conversations below, we had a lot of fun (and a few disagreements) along the way!<\/p>\n

Teija<\/strong>:\u00a0I feel like we’re starting with an easy one. IMO he is 100% a Slytherin Verdict: Ravenclaw<\/strong><\/p>\n Sarah:<\/strong>\u00a0Is that really even\u00a0a question? He’s probably the truest Gryffindor to ever be. Verdict: Gryffindor<\/strong><\/p>\n Lauren:<\/strong> Hufflepuff! Verdict: Hufflepuff<\/strong><\/p>\n Lauren:\u00a0<\/strong>Slytherin Verdict: Slytherin<\/strong><\/p>\n Lauren<\/strong>:\u00a0Gryffindor! Verdict: Gryffindor<\/strong><\/p>\n Sarah<\/strong>:\u00a0Slytherin\u00a0is my vote,\u00a0because she is manipulative and cunning and uses the way people\u00a0underestimate her to her advantage Verdict: Hufflepuff<\/strong><\/p>\n Lauren<\/strong>:\u00a0Grrrrrrrryffindor? Verdict: Gyffindor<\/strong><\/p>\n Teija<\/strong>:\u00a0Ok so y’all are gonna have to sort Ant-Man without me ’cause I STILL haven’t seen it (THIS IS WHERE WE PAUSE TO JUDGE HER AND TELL HER SHE HAS TO SEE IT BEFORE SHE IS ALLOWED TO SEE CIVIL WAR) Verdict: Ravenclaw<\/strong><\/p>\n Lauren<\/strong>:\u00a0Okay are we sorting BUCKY BARNES or THE WINTER SOLDIER Verdict: Hufflepuff<\/strong><\/p>\n Lauren<\/strong>: RAVENCLAW Verdict: Ravenclaw<\/strong><\/p>\n Lauren<\/strong>:\u00a0Peter Parker is a Ravenclaw in every iteration of the character. Verdict: Ravenclaw<\/strong><\/p>\n Teija:<\/strong>\u00a0T’Challa I have nooooooo idea Verdict: Slytherin <\/strong>(What we know of his comics history, he’ll probably be a Slytherin, but if the MCU does something different with him we’re open to change.)<\/p>\n Teija<\/strong>:\u00a0R…a…venclaw? \nSarah:<\/strong>\u00a0I could make a compelling argument for Ravenclaw.\u00a0But he does have a lot of Slytherin in him
\nLauren:<\/strong>\u00a0I’m…waffling… But\u00a0I’m actually kind of leaning Ravenclaw…because of his stance in Civil War
\nSarah:<\/strong>\u00a0I say Ravenclaw\u00a0because I think his dominating traits are his intelligence and his thirst for knowledge
\nLauren:<\/strong>\u00a0Yeah, and he tends to take an intellectual approach to problem-solving.\u00a0I think he definitely does have ambition, but in AoU and I think probably in CW he seems more afraid to trust it\u00a0and he resorts to logic.

\nTeija:<\/strong>\u00a0I’m pretty sure the sorting hat would scream SLYTHERIN as soon as she walked into the Great Hall.

\nSarah<\/strong>:\u00a0But I say Gryffindor because it takes all the courage in the world to just\u00a0straight up follow Black Widow and Captain America into battle.\u00a0And he’s very headstrong and stubborn

\nLauren<\/strong>:\u00a0Well….I don’t know if that’s a personality thing or a powers thing though. Like her POWERS are mind manipulation,\u00a0but I don’t know if that’s who she is?
\nTeija<\/strong>: I mean. She used her powers to manipulate in AoU, but that was under someone’s command.\u00a0Not of her own volition.
\nSarah<\/strong>:\u00a0But i think in order to use them as well as she does she has to have that trait already.
\nLauren<\/strong>: She’s definitely not Gryffindor, she has to PSYCH HERSELF UP to charge into battle.
\nTeija<\/strong>:\u00a0And her loyalty to her brother is preeeeeeetty apparent
\nLauren<\/strong>: She does it out of a sense of loyalty and decency.
\nSarah<\/strong>:\u00a0True, but i think loyalty to one person is different than loyalty as a defining trait.
\nTeija<\/strong>:\u00a0I’m thinking Hufflepuff, actually
\nLauren<\/strong>:\u00a0Yeah, I’m thinking her willingness to switch to helping Tony in spite of what he’d done to her and sacrifice herself for the greater good make me very hesitant to put her in Slytherin.\u00a0I was about to say Hufflepuff.
\nSarah<\/strong>:\u00a0I stand by Slytherin
\nLauren<\/strong>:\u00a0Hufflepuff “loyal, hardworking, protective, caring”.\u00a0I really think that fits her best
